Welcome to SurvivorMan 2008!!!

A posting from Earthmother the evening of the expedition: "It is 8pm on Tuesday evening, 3/4/08 and Earthmother is beginning to wonder what happen to the three FPs who have not yet arrived for the Surviorman expedition behind Jambo's cabin. It is currently freezing rain but that should not hold them back. However, there is a Best Western hotel in Tully. Maybe they took a detour thinking no one would know!" -- March 04, 2008 7:58 PM

FULL PACKER PRESS RELEASE: Full Packers; Rocketman, LightFoot and Capitanious successfully completed their SurvivorMan2008 mission. With limited supplies they entered the frozen tundra and negotiated many life threatening hurdles throughout the evening. Under the threat of a Winter Storm Warning they hunkered down within their man made shelter to ride out the storm. For 12 hours, a constant combination of rain and freezing rain drenched the explorers and their gear. The new expedition pulks (sleds) proved to be invaluable in carrying most of the gear salvaged from the fictitious plane crash. Because of the freezing temperatures and rain soaked weather the expedition photography gear was damaged. Professionals are now working around the clock to retrieve the film. We hope to have photos of this ground breaking expedition soon. The explorers would like to thank some of the sponsors of this trek; Lightfoot’s parents for letting us park in their driveway and Lightfoot’s employer for the use of the Rav3 tarp that covered us at night. Without it, disaster would have struck. Again, stay tuned for SurvivorMan2008 expedition photos.
