FULL PACKER PRESS RELEASE – May 24, 2007: In a recent phone interview, un-named members of the Jambo and the Jam Masters Rx Band commented on the “Free Bird” guitar solo that lasted 1 hour and 53 mins of the 2 hour concert. “Yes, we get it, Jambo can play a mean guitar”. According to the un-named drummer, his “Inda-gada-da-vida” drum solo was pushed aside due to running out of time. "I had to fly this drum set in from Toledo, it takes time to set up and I practiced for weeks!!! I really get into Iron Butterfly...and this is what I get!!" As you can see from the photo (above), members of the band were waiting for Jambo to finish up his unexpected and exhausting guitar solo. Another member, said under her breath, “I thought my freakin' arm was going to fall off, I mean really...I kept thinking, 'when is this guy going to rap it up???? How long do I have to tap this damn tambourine???!!’” Jambo better known as "Chuck" or "Chick" and former member of the CNY garage band "Stuart Little" was not available for comment.

An Editorial Comment from the Editor and Chief of the Full Packer Report, Capitanious
“Hi Folks - In this time of media corruption and mistrust, it is critical that the staff at the Full Packer Report maintain integrity, which means to monitor - and yes – reject submissions from time to time. The Full Packer Report encourages submissions from its readers, and prides itself on true and honest stories that tell the real adventures of the Full Packer team. However, recently we have - with mixed emotions - published submissions that are somewhat questionable in nature and may not be true-to-life. However with limited resources here at the FPR we continue to publish all submissions regardless of their questionable nature. However, we insist that only truthful submission are offered, not just wild fantasies and imaginations”
As always, we thank you for your continued support.

FULL PACKER PRESS RELEASE- May 16, 2007: Another Jambo submission:

"During a recent business trip to Old Saybrook,CT, Jambo had the oppurtunity to go fishing with his old friend Livingston Taylor off the coast of Martha's Vineyard,MA. After an exhausting 45 minute struggle, Jambo successfully landed this impressive striped bass held by his fishing buddy. Too fatigued to actually lift the specimen himself, Jambo unselfishly offered to take the picture instead as Livingston hoisted the behemoth into view. After a fine feast of fried fresh fish, the pair repaired to Liv's studio to work on their new CD in preparation for a late 2007 release and ensuing national tour. The newly formed duo, much inspired by the Leecher-Barry Experience popular in the early '90s, will be known as The Bastards of Bass and will have Hot Tuna as the opening act. Rumor has it that both the LBE and Phish may be reuniting and will be co-headlining on select dates. Stay tuned to the FPR for more breaking news."

FULL PACKER NEWS RELEASE (May 15, 2007): Hi Folks - Capitanious here. I've been tying flies as long as I've been tying my shoes and this one had me stumped! However, one quick call to Rocketman and he set me straight. In a previous email I could not identify the speces of fish I caught during my recent fishing expedition up to the Salmon River. I asked Roc to look at the fish - via this blog - and tell me what kind it was.

He said, "what you have here Cap is a Chub...its latin name is Leuciscus Cephalus. Chub's can be found in most of the NY's rivers and more recently in still waters where it is being stocked. The Chub is predatory and tends to live together in shoals, larger specimens tending to become solitary. The staple diet of the young fish are small invertebrates; older Chub also feed on small fish, insects, small crayfish, fruit and berries. The Chub can often be found under overhanging trees and bushes also on gravel beds where it can be occasionally seen feeding in a river's current. The Chub can be distinguished by it's convex anal fin and the arrangement of its pharyngeal teeth. It has a long, cylindrical, streamlined body with grey or black-bordered scales. It's back is grayish brown in color, tinged with green, it's sides are lighter and often golden blending into a white belly."

Thanks Rocketman!!

FULL PACKER NEWS RELEASE (May 14, 2007): Feeling a bit spring feverish this past Friday, Capitanious donned his old fly fishing gear and headed north to the Salmon River where the trout and salmon are as big as the river they call home. Capitanious was baiting small and catching big on the slightly overcast day. Perfect conditions for a bit of catch and release action. Black flies ruled the day, but did not stop the old portly angler. Caddis dry flies seem to do the trick! The Captain caught 1 brookie and 7 others. Currently he is doing research on the "7 others" to identify this species of fish that seems to inhabit this river (photo above). Below are some photos of his day and rod bending trophy catch.
